Acura TSX: Opposing Views
Sunday March 21, 2004
Automobile journalists don't always agree with one another so perhaps I shouldn't be surprised at the remarks made by Mark Phelan, auto critic of the Detroit Free Press. While praising the Acura TSX for its equipment and engine power, Phelan complains that the TSX is hurt by front-wheel-drive. He complains about "a nose-heavy feel that became very apparent when cornering fast and going over hills" and suggested it "felt a bit sloppy and unbalanced in such sporty driving." My own opinion of the TSX, as stated in our Guide Review, is quite different. I was amazed at how well Acura had disguised its front-wheel-drive origins and could be driven just as vigorously and with as much fun as a rear-wheel-drive sports sedan.
