Lincoln Zephyr, the Lincoln You've Been Waiting For
Thursday April 8, 2004
At last, a chance that Lincoln might survive. After giving us some absurd SUVs (Lincoln should never become a maker of trucks) and the hopelessly bland LS sedan, and after some uninspired concept convertibles, the division has revealed a Lincoln Zephyr sedan concept at the New York Show. Aside from drawing a much-revered name from its history, Lincoln is using its own variation on the excellent Mazda6 platform to create the Zephyr, which will come with front-wheel-drive plus an all-wheel-drive option. Closely resembling the 2005 production car, the Zephyr is the Lincoln you've been waiting for: A breath of fresh air.
