World's Best Designers Choose the Most Significant Cars

If you enjoy design of all kinds be sure to pick up Architectural Digest magazine's May issue. Architects, designers and decorators were asked to select objects symbolising, in their view, "great design." Considering the publication's normal editorial theme you might expect it would be limited to luxury homes and furnishings but the items included everything from humble household utensils to fashion and jewellery. And cars, too. Most designers, regardless of their chosen field, find cars fascinating. In this special article I've listed the automobiles, with quotes from designers. The car shown here, a 1960's Ferrari Dino, was among the chosen.
