Test Drive: 2005 Chrysler Crossfire Roadster
Thursday June 3, 2004
It's a good thing our reviewer Robert Bowden lives in Florida. At the start of his week-long road test of the Crossfire Roadster, the top became stuck in the down position, which meant Robert did most of his driving in the sunshine. Other than that and a couple of other bothersome complaints, he was the object of much admiring attention, for the Roadster is a uniquely stylish convertible. Though planned as a two-seat sports car, on the road the 2005 Crossfire Roadster is more cruiser than purist performer. But that, plus its classy Mercedes-Benz SLK underpinnings, should be sporty enough for many prospective owners.
