At Last: Good News for Chrysler
Sunday June 13, 2004
For the second year in a row, the U.S. unit of Germany’s DaimlerChrysler AG led the industry in improving the efficiency of its North American plants. And, for the first time, Chrysler performed better than the Ford Motor Co. It also appears to have a star car on its hands. That's "car," not minivan or truck. According to the Detroit News' Daniel Howes the new Chrysler 300C hemi-powered sedan seems to have struck the right chord with critics and is flying off dealer lots. Whether the "Plain Jane" 300 will have a similar effect remains to be seen but this is certainly good news for America's comeback car company.
