Test drive: 2005 Saab 9-2x Linear
Sunday February 27, 2005
Saabs are quirky. Subarus are quirky. So it makes sense that the new entry-level Saab is actually a Subaru, distinguished primarily by minor styling changes. Colin Hefferon found that the Saab 9-2x is a fantastic car (as is the Subaru Impreza on which it is based), but it's a little hard to buy into it as a Saab. See, Subaru quirks aren't anything like Saab quirks, and a Saab with Subaru quirks, while plenty Subaruish, isn't Saabish. You understand what I'm saying? No? Neither do I. Get the straight quirk-free skinny in Colin's review (which is more Colinish than Aaronish... OK, I'll shut up now). -- Aaron Gold
