Five cars that will cut your fuel bills
Sunday March 27, 2005
My fiancee' Robin is a massage therapist. She puts upwards of 400 miles per week on our car driving to see clients, so gas prices have a big impact on her income. Things have gotten so bad that she's had to raise her prices to cover the $225 or so she spends on gas each month -- and she's driving a four-cylinder Accord wagon! We've talked about getting a minivan, but with gas hovering around $2.30 per gallon here in Los Angeles I don't know how we could afford to run it. I have a nasty feeling that $2+/gallon gas is here to stay, and if that's the case, it's a good idea to consider fuel costs vs. payments for a more fuel-efficient car. With that in mind, About Cars presents our guide to five vehicles that will cut your fuel budget by using less gas...or none at all. -- Aaron Gold
