Reno revisited

I reviewed the Suzuki Reno a couple of months back and barely managed to stay awake. The other day, About Cars writer BJ Killeen stole the Highlander Hybrid I was driving and left me with her current test car, which was -- yeah, you guessed it -- a Reno.
"Whaddaya think?" I asked.
"I think you ought to stop wearing plaid shirts," BJ replied. (Note to self: From now on, assign all Buick reviews to BJ.)
"I mean about the Reno," I said.
"I like it," she said. "It's a good little car that does everything it's supposed to do."
Now, I respect BJ's opinion about cars, and began to wonder if I'd given the Reno a bad rap, so I drove hers for a day. With an automatic transmission instead of the rubbery stick-shift in the first car I tested, it was less annoying. And yes, it does everying it's supposed to do... but my opinion is unchanged; I still think it's dull as dirt. -- Aaron Gold
