Test drive: 2005 Volvo V70 T5
Wednesday July 6, 2005
I'm a bad judge of Volvo's style because I liked the boxy ones: square was okay with me. In fact, most people probably think "square" when Volvo and shape are mentioned but you know, it's just not the case anymore. And the interiors? Holy cow! Safe and sumptuous. How did this happen? Well, Colin didn't ask a lot of questions when he tested a 2005 Volvo V70 T5; he just took the keys and didn't look back. Even though the T5 model he tested was discontinued for '06, never fear. The main thrust of Colin's review applies to all V70 models. This car is the one for those of us that still need a car to do it all: haul kids, groceries and take the adults out on a date once in a while. And, honestly, I've been spending time pricing one out online based on this glowing review. Nice work, Volvo (and Colin).—Bob Schulties
