U.S. Design and the Retro Look

So I was up late last night. Mostly goofin' arou... working and I came across a great piece on NPR about U.S Auto designs. That got me to thinkin' about Phil Powell's take on the design of the 2005 Chrysler 300. He hates the design. Now, road tester Colin loved the 300c when he tested it. This got me thinking how 300c has a modern retro look just like 2005 Ford Mustang. I like the retro look a lot but I wonder if the whole movement really has any legs under it. What happens in three years? I hope today's designers aren't looking to the 80s for their inspiration. Go Pinto!—Bob Schulties
