Test drive: 2006 Subaru WRX STi
Thursday September 1, 2005
Colin turned in a review of the 2006 Subaru WRX STi. Yawn. I go back and forth in the appeal of these kinds of cars. I mean, I see the appeal of having an affordable, near-racing car. But the times we live... when can anyone really use these cars? [Guide note: Brooklyn Bob's opinion is not necessarily that of the Site Guide, mostly because the Site Guide lives in a place with twisty canyon roads and Bob doesn't. Nyahh nyahh -- AG] Heck, I know more people who don't know cars than those that do (to be fair, I am in NYC). Now, if a good ol' boy tells me he can get some track time to wind up his racer... then maybe we're on to something. Otherwise, and call me lame if you must, but I'll pass. In fact, Colin says, "However, if you don't live in rural Germany or own your own racetrack you probably won't ever get more than a hint of what this remarkable automobile is capable of." But don't just listen to me, read this review - Colin loved this car!—Bob Schulties
