Virtually every advertising student has learned about Volkswagen advertising, mainly the brilliant Beetle ads of the 50s and 60s with headlines like "Lemon" and "It's ugly, but it gets you there". Less studied but no less brilliant is the more recent campaign: "On the road of life, there are drivers and there are passengers. Drivers wanted." About Cars test driver Jason Fogelson found that the Driver's Wanted spirit is alive and well in the all-new VW Jetta GLI -- a car with such talents that Jason dares to compare it to rear-drive greats like the Lexus IS and even the BMW 3-series.
