Test drive: 2006 Hyundai Sonata
Sunday October 23, 2005
Talk about "I'ma no-likey!" Test driver Jason Fogelson gives the 2006 Hyundai Sonata a thumbs down. I personally had high hopes for the 2006 Hyundai Sonata. Why? It didn't seem like Detroit was paying much attention to the car segment and someone needed to knock the Japanese off their high horse. What's extra interesting, however, is that test driver BJ Killeen liked the 2006 Sonata so it will be interesting to see how it all plays out in the marketplace. I get the impression Jason feels Hyundai is on the right track but the 2006 Sonata was only a shot across the bow of the competition, not a direct hit.—Bob Schulties

I don’t think Jason Fogelson gets the picture in my opinion the Sonata is good value it may be generic but look at the safety features without checking option boxes, he rather have unreliable Jetta and a overpriced Camry, in my opinion the sonata V6 is very Lexus like in my opinion, japanese vehicles are no more generic than the Hyundai
