Test drive: 2006 Hyundai Azera

I can't get over how impressed I am by Hyundai's new flagship. It's not just impressive for a Hyundai; it's impressive, period. Now, there's some disagreement on Hyundais 'round these parts. Take the 2006 Sonata. I only had a brief drive, but I liked it, as did About Cars test drivers BJ Killeen and Colin Hefferon. But Jason Fogelson disagrees with all three of us. In his Sonata review, he opines that while Hyundai may be in the same ball park as its Japanese competitors, that doesn't mean it's out on the field. It'll be interesting to see what Jason thinks of the Azera. In my opinion, Hyundai's earned a place in the major leagues, and the Azera is the heavy hitter. -- Aaron Gold
