Pontiac Torrent: Thumbs up, thumbs down
Wednesday December 7, 2005
It just so happens that both Philip Powell and Jason Fogelson turned in test drives of Pontiac's new Torrent this week, and they completely disagreed on the car's merits (or lack thereof). They can't even agree on what it is; Jason refers to it as an SUV and Philip thinks of it as a tall station wagon. Now, since the Torrent is technically an SUV, the review is posted on About.com's trucks site, but to my eye the Torrent is a car wearing an SUV suit, what with its smallish dimensions and four-wheel independent suspension, which is why I'm blogging it here on the Cars site. At least the Torrent isn't quite as wishy-washy as the Ford Freestyle (which, by the way, Colin didn't like much and I liked even less). -- Aaron Gold
