Nissan Quest gets a makeover for 2007
From About.com Cars test driver BJ Killeen:
While Aaron is off in our nation’s capital gallivanting about in the new Mazda CX-7 SUV, I thought here’s my chance to get in a few words (almost impossible to do when the boss is in town)...
Nissan’s Quest was one of the rare failures for Carlos Ghosn and his team of comeback players. While the exterior received praise, the interior and functionality was either way ahead of its time or just downright hideous, depending on whom you asked. I personally hated the conga drum center console area, and couldn’t lift the folded third row without literally climbing into the cargo pit. Aaron liked the Quest’s ride and handling after a long road trip, but like Pontiac’s ill-fated Aztek, it was hard to see past the Quest’s face to find it had a really great personality. That’s why Nissan’s gone back to the drawing board and redone the 2007 version, of which I will be testing next week in Nashville, and reporting back as to how much it has improved and moved more into the mainstream as far as looks and versatility. -- BJ Killeen

BJ is a great writer and automotive genius, I’m looking forward to reading her comments on the Quest!
I really like the new Quest. First two rows as captains chairs and the last row as a bench is sweet. You can walk from the front all the way to the back — very handy if you have kids. Or want to get away from the driver. I know you can do this in other minivans, but I was very impressed with the ‘07 Quest. I think it’s my favorite now over the Odyssey and Sienna.
