When I reviewed the Toyota Avalon in 2005, I thought it was the cat's meow, and I expressed amazement that Lexus, Toyota's luxury division, would allow such a well-equipped and well-mannered car to be sold under the Toyota moniker. But things move fast in the automotive biz. Liz Kim, About.com Cars' newest test driver, recently spent a week with the 2007 Avalon, and came away with a very different opinion. toyota, in its mad dash to userp the #1 position of the world’s leading manufacturer, has left quality control in a second positin. that’s why i now drive a new honda civic and crv (2006’s). sooner than later, the world will catch on as well,and toyota shall start down the same road of decline as we are witnessing with GM and ford. too bad, cause i really liked my old sr5 and corolla.
