2007 Detroit Auto Show photo gallery
The 2007 North American International Auto Show -- also known as NAIAS, or the Detroit Show to its friends -- gets under way this week. The first three days of the show are press days, when dozens of automakers, foreign and domestic, stage glizty introductions for new concepts and production cars. Naturally, we've got photos and lots of 'em.
With more introductions coming tomorrow, our photo gallery will continue to grow, so keep checking back. The show opens to the public on Saturday, but until then you can put on some loud music, change all your clear lightbulbs for colored ones, and hire a bunch of nicely-dressed people to stand around and smile at you while you look at the photos. It'll be just like being at the show! -- Aaron Gold

the honda accord coupe is beautiful!!!that is to me, not only the star of the show, but if they i can get it fully loaded, with a hybrid for under 30k, it’ll be in my driveway 1 hr after unloading at my dealership! the mazda ruyga is definitely the eye catcher…let’s see how much of this actually gets from the mock-up to the showroom. the m-b ocean drive has got that “bloated fat cat” look about it. they should really put a maybach moniker on it, as it tarnished the svelt, taut, aggressive teutonic image of mercedes. don
I’m looking forward to seeing a photo of the newly-designed Toyota Carolla.
I thought the Accord was a 4 door family car? Looks like it is taking over for the Celica Supra. Was someone at Ford on drugs when they did that Airstream? It is unfortunate that some (like the Interceptor) will never come to pass as a real car. Looking forward to more pics of other cars.
Is it just me, or are today’s new cars becoming more extreme (in both senses of the word)? Some are absolutely beautiful; the Accord coupe, for example. But most others are becoming more ugly. The CTS, the Subaru Legacy, the awful new Ford Focus, the Town & Country, etc. I appreciate a deviation from the nondescript, but “attention-grabbing” shouldn’t mean “painful to look at.”
