Next week my wife Robin and I are heading off to New York for the New York International Auto Show. The biggest problem: I have no idea what to pack. All my friends are saying that the weather has been gorgeous, but we'll be driving upstate after the show, and you never know what's going to happen once you get north of Schenectady -- it could be 70 degrees and perfect, or we could get eight feet of snow dumped on our heads.
That's where a car like the Volvo C70 comes in handy. It's a convertible with a retractable steel roof, so it truly is an all-weather car. Liz Kim, who tested the C70 for About.com Cars, is a fellow resident of Southern California, so the steel roof was kind of lost on her -- or was it? Check out Liz's 2007 Volvo C70 test drive.
Incidentally, Robin and I will be driving the new-for-2007 retractable hardtop verison of the Mazda MX-5 Miata -- so you'll hear first-hand how the tin-top Miata holds up to the weather. -- Aaron Gold
