Updated: Photo gallery of new and redesigned 2008 cars
Our photo gallery of new and redesigned 2008 cars is now up over 40 vehicles, with more coming. No SUVs and no "maybes" or "design studies" in this gallery -- these are all cars that, so far as I know, have been confirmed for sale in the US market as 2008 models. A couple are even on sale now. Check out the gallery and see if anything catches your eye -- your next new car might be among them. Got any opinions, positive or negative, on what's coming in 2008? Click the "comments" link below. Are there any pictures of upcoming 2008 SUV’s? I’m anxiously awaiting to see if Toyota will return the 4Runner to it’s previous glory or if I have to settle for something else for a little while longer?! (I should have never sold mine…) Or if there are going to be any changes to other vehicles that I might consider. Help!
Sandy — For all the latest SUV news, check out the About.com SUVs site — http://suvs.about.com. I haven’t heard anything about the Toyota 4Runner for 2008; the big news in Toyota SUVs is the 2008 Highlander.
Aaron, have seen any pics (or heard anything about) the 08 Suzuki Vitara/XL7? My dad retired from the Suxuki dealer about 18 months ago. I dont get any early info anymore. Thanks Tim
The ‘Smart’ should be called the ‘Speck’. (Here’s a fun new game: Try finding it in your blindspot)
I’m sure it is fun to drive, and parking-friendly, however it has to battle with the deluxo-barge-suvs and 18-wheelers that navigate our congested roads. (Not to mention it won’t stand a chance against some of our seasoned road-rage-oholics)
I still think it is better suited for Europe and Asia where vehicles are proportionately smaller.
just my $0.02
Hey I just spent last week in T.O.(Toronto to the non-locals). I was all primed to catch one of these “finless guppies” in action, dodging traffic, getting into parking spots I could only dream of…but alas, I never caught a glipse of even one! Not even when I was surrounded by thousands of bumper to bumper cars on the Gardiner Expy. I guess I’ll just have to wait for my next trip to Tokyo, Paris or Stockholm(yeah right!!!).
Disappointed,Don
Hey Don — The Canadian cities I’ve visited most recently were Vancouver and Montreal, and I saw lots of ‘em in both places — particularly Vancouver.
