Photo galleries: 2009 Nissan Cube, 2010 Ford Fusion Hybrid and Sport
Two photo galleries today, both of cars introduced at the 2008 LA Auto Show. First, we have the 2009 Nissan Cube. I'm a bit disappointed; the new Cube has a bit of a melted look compared to the previous-generation Cube; perhaps that's the effect of US bumper standards. Note the Cube's trademark wraparound rear window. Take a closer look in my 2009 Nissan Cube photo gallery.
Second, we have the restyled 2010 Ford Fusion. It's rare that a redesign improves a car's looks, but I think Ford has done it -- with the new grille and updated taillights, I think the 2010 Fusion looks way better than the current car. The Fusion has always been good to drive, and now it's much better to look at. I'm excited about the hybrid system and the new Sport model, and I can't wait to drive 'em both. I've posted separate photo galleries, one for the 2010 Ford Fusion Hybrid and another for the 2010 Ford Fusion Sport. -- Aaron Gold

Okay the Fusion sport actually looks good. I would still drop the chrome grill but I think it is a really big improvement.
I like the looks of the cube. It’s neato!
I love the looks of the Fusion sport but again Ford is just not going for the gold.
Why use a 3.5 six when the new ecotech 2.0 four is supposed to make more power and will be a lot lighter.
Lets see for a sport vehicle a 263 HP six or a 270 HP four?
If Ford really wants to go for broke how about a Milan Sport with the 340hp 3.5L V-6 Ecoboost and all wheel drive?
The Fusion sure looks better on the outside. Is the interior still cheaped-out, or did they shoot the bean counters and use some decent materials in the new model?
The Cube is fantastically ugly.
It should sell well.
You know why the Ford Fusion looks so good? It’s because they copied GM’s design of the Saab 9-3. Ford just slapped on a chrome grill with a blue oval. Seriously, it’s the exact same design as the Saab. Imitation is the greatest form of flattery.
I think IGB hit it the Cube dead on, Fantasically Ugly. You should start seeing them on the road in packs at the mall. I think a better use would be to make them aritical reefs in the Gulf of Mexico.
Sorry but the Fusion kinda reminds me of a rehashed old Mercury Topaz. I’m sure it’s a good car, but it’s rather staid looking for my tastes.
