What's New for 2010 updates

Thursday July 9, 2009

I spent today getting my butt into gear with the latest What's New for 2010 updates. I'll be adding more manufacturers in the next couple-few days, but in the mean time, I've updated the following entries:

  • Audi: New nav system for A3, R8, TT
  • Bentley: Sketchy details on the upcoming Arnage replacement
  • BMW: 2011 X1 and further expansion of the 7-series lineup, including M Sport packages
  • Buick: New four-cylinder base engine announced for the upcoming LaCrosse
  • Honda: Accord Crosstour!!
  • Hyundai: Updated Accent and an expanded model lineup for the Elantra Touring
  • Jaguar: XF Supercharged (not to be confused with the XFR) and the first tiny details about the 2010 XJ (with more info to be released later today)

As always, I've divided all the info into "confirmed" and "rumored" so you'll know what's definitely coming and what is still just speculation. You can also check out the full make-by-make guide (so far) or my ever-expanding photo gallery of new and redesigned 2010 cars. More coming soon! -- Aaron Gold

I am so disapointed at the lack of diesels! What I would really like to see is a compact suv/crossover with a diesel. Honda should offer one in the Element. I would buy one tomorrow.

Yes, please bring on the turbo-diesels in small trucks and utility vehicles. Why only Europe?

Yes, lets hope that the appearance of more diesel models in the luxury segments starts to filter down.

The only things that stopped me from buying the SX4 was the bad fuel mileage. Apparently the diesel version (in Fiat guise) gets 55mpg.

“Automatic Accents get a fuel economy indicator with red, yellow and green lights.”
I remember my dad having an orange ‘FUEL’ light on his 1970s F150 that would come on if it was accelerated too hard.
Has a good reason come out as to why Kia and Hyundai don’t have ‘Blue’ editions as standard? I don’t understand. Is there a down side to the Blue edition?

The LaCrosse doesn’t look that bad. Maybe Buick can take the hardware from the Pontiac G8 GT and put it under that body, give it some functional hood scoops and call it the Grand National. Then they may actually have a car that’s worth buying.

A Buick Grand National four-door sedan……HHmmm, sounds like a Dodge Charger four-door sedan. No thanks. I’ll pass.

Eric,
You’re right. The General and Buick would screw that up too. Just keep Buick the way it is. By the way, do you know the number one cause of death among Buick customers?
Natural causes.

I am looking for a few good photographs of a yellow Z06 or ZR1 to use on a sign. They have to be fairly good resolution as i will have to enlarge to a 3′ x 5′ size. Can anyone help. Email address is gary@mchughmotors.com

Gary,
Checkout AllPosters.com. You may be able to pull an image from that site. Just type in keyword Corvette.
