24 Hours of LeMons: On your marks, get set...

ThreatmobileYou'll forgive my lack of activity these last couple of days; we've been scurrying to get the Threatmobile ready for this weekend's 24 Hours of LeMons: The Buttonwillow Histrionics race. We're almost ready to go. As you read this, I'll be towing the car up to the track in a nice new 2009 RAM 3500 Cummins diesel that Dodge was kind enough to loan us. (If you're gonna haul something, might as well do it right, right?)

If you're in Southern California and don't have anything better to do this weekend, come on over! Tickets are $30 for both race days, and if you can only come one day, I'd suggest on Sunday -- that's when the People's Curse award is given out, and the winning car is destroyed. (Hopefully it won't be ours.)

If you do come to the race, look for the black #33 BMW done up as a crime scene, complete with a body strapped to the roof. I'll be the short guy in the ill-fitting red suit -- stop by our pits and say hello! -- Aaron Gold

Sweet! But instead of a fake body tied to the roof I’d recommend tying “Squeaky Fromme” up there. There would be nothing like a 60-year old, just paroled screaming member of the Manson family to make people get the hell out of your way. Good luck this weekend!

Hope the Brakes are all set . Have a great time. 1st place surely would be the way to go however there is not much better than being with good friends.

Good luck! Can’t wait to see pics and read about it, since I don’t live out there anymore….
