Aaron Gold is a former writer for ThoughtCo, who contributed articles about the automotive industry for 12 years. Aaron has over 20 years of expertise as a freelance journalist, specializing in automobiles and related content. His work includes reviews, technical articles, buying advice, vehicle care and maintenance, top-picks lists, and long-term road tests. 

Aaron writes for a variety of publications, including AutoExpress.Co.UK, AutoGuide.com, AutomobileMag.com, Autoweb.com, DieselWorldMag.com, and many other media outlets dedicated to the automotive industry. Further, he creates video reviews for Autobytel, Autoweb, and other online platforms.

Aaron is a consulting producer for the History Channel’s auto-focused series, Top Gear. He also serves as a juror for the North American Car and Truck of the Year. This automotive award is the industry's equivalent of the movie industry's Oscar. Aaron test drives over a hundred new cars each year. He drives these cars in his hometown, Los Angeles, traffic and freeways. Aaron then writes reviews on each vehicle's performance.

Aaron Gold holds a Bachelor Science (B.S.) degree in Communications from the State University of New York, at Brockport.
