Test drive: 2014 Ford Fiesta

By October 25, 2013

Follow me on:

2014 Ford FiestaI've talked before about how I am always filled with trepidation (that's today's 25-cent word) when one of my favorite cars gets a redesign. It's that time again, and the latest victim is the Ford Fiesta, a car I've always loved for its fun-to-drive demeanor. I got a preview of the changes in my Fiesta 1.0 EcoBoost preview drive, but this is my first full week with the new Fiesta (sans the fancy engine, I'm afraid). How did it go? Find out in my 2014 Ford Fiesta test drive and review. -- Aaron Gold

One liter, 123 ponies, 148 ft/lbs…impressive to say the least. Can’t wait for actual MPG’and then your real world numbers, Aaron.

It’s nice to see the Fiesta so competitive and successful in the U.S. Seems like it’s only Achilles Heel is the MFT system, and maybe a little bit in the area of outward view.

Eric, I rented one for a week and found the interior finishes somewhat cheap and unrefined, even for a bottom feeder. Hoope this one is better.

Actually that color of green would be good for a teens first car. That color of green looks close to hi-viz green. BTW I have a hi-viz green helmet and jacket for when I ride my motor cycle.
