May 13, 2004Nissan Designs for NY Furniture Show If you happen to be in New York May 15 to May 18, you might want to attend the International Contemporary Furniture Fair. Aside from my enthusiasm for design of all kinds, I can recommend this event because Nissan's La Jolla, California design studio is displaying two unique living environments. "Every experience inside and outside of the studio affects who we are and what we create," said NDA designer Bryan Thompson, the lead designer on the project. "I am excited to see how our experience creating furniture for ICFF will influence future car designs." The Actic concept car will also be on display. It was inspired by a trip two of the Nissan designers took in an Airstream trailer.
