The Avalon was a difficult car to write up because there's simply not much to say. Like Mary Poppins, it's practically perfect in every way. Unlike Mary Poppins, it isn't that entertaining. That's OK, though; Toyota isn't pitching the Avalon against BMW. Think of it as a step up from a Camry or an Accord -- bigger and more luxurious but without the price tag of a Lexus, Acura or Infiniti. Not my cup of tea, but pretty darn good tea nonetheless.
