Snapshot:
Is it a station wagon? Almost. Is it an SUV? Almost. Is it a, gulp, minivan? Almost. You'll want to look at the Pacifica if you want a little more style than most minivans offer but have the same requirements.
How Much?:
Price for a 2004 Chrysler Pacifica in the US ranges from $29,525 to $32,980.
The Inside Story:
One of the first all-new vehicles to come out of the Diamler/Chrysler 'merger', the Pacifica tries to be all things to all people. And, surprisingly, does it all quite well.
Under the Hood:
A 3.5 liter V6 makes 250 horsepower. Because of its heft, the Pacifica suffers some in the gas mileage game getting: 17 city/22 highway.
Transmissions:
The transmission is a four-speed automatic.
Warranty:
Bumper-to-bumper is a low(ish) 3 years/36,000. The powertrain warranty, however, is a generous 7 years/70,000.
Should you Buy a 2004 Chrysler Pacifica?:
That's a tough one. The Pacifica is an all-new model that may still have some rough edges to iron out but for a first-year production model, it's quite a respectable vehicle. The main draw to the Pacifica is that it's not your typical minivan but does the same duties. If you lean towards a more sporty driving experience yet still have kids and whatnot to tote around, then the Pacifica is something you need to look into.
