Snapshot:
The 2004 Chevrolet Cavalier is a small 4-door sedan and coupe with front-wheel-drive and a 4-cylinder engine used by a variety of GM divisions. Styling has been moderately updated but the basic chassis and architecture goes back many years.
How Much?:
$10,135 to $17,220 will purchase a 2004 Chevrolet Cavalier in the US. Canadian buyers will pay from $15,995 to $21,995 for a 2004 Chevrolet Cavalier.
The Inside Story:
The front seats are reasonably comfortable, rear seat passengers will be cramped. The interior is attractive but fit and finish is only average. Trunk space is quite acceptable, especially with the fold-down rear seat.
Should You Buy a 2004 Chevrolet Cavalier?:
Chevy’s designers have done an excellent job keeping the Cavalier up to date. It was a fine-looking car when launched and still is. But that was many years ago and under that pretty skin lies an antiquated platform. Acceleration is quick, fuel economy reasonable, dealers will cheerfully deal a low price. 2004 Chevrolet Cavalier photo: © Chevrolet
