To all of you who wondered why Ford doesn't bring more of their European vehicles to America -- well, here you go. The Old World is crawling with mini-work-wagons like the Transit Connect, but they're almost unheard of in America, so Ford is forging the path with the Transit Connect. Part van, part car, the Transit Connect hauls up to 143 cubic feet of cargo, features sliding side doors, and is powered by a two-liter four-cylinder engine with EPA fuel economy estimates of 19 MPG city, 24 MPG highway.
