GM "car czar" Bob Lutz with the 2008 Cadillac CTS-V at the 2008 Detroit auto show
This is the CTS we were expecting -- the return of the high-power CTS-V, scheduled to go on sale in the 4th quarter of 2008 as a 2009 model. The CTS-V is powered by a detuned (and I use that term lightly) version of the supercharged 6.2 liter V8 in the upcoming Chevrolet Corvette ZR1. Output has not been determined, but Caddy estimates it will be around 550 horsepower and 550 lb-ft of torque -- figures that top even the Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG of which I am so fond.
