BMW X6 Active Hybrid concept

Along with the production version of the X6, BMW showed this concept version using what it calls the "Active Hybrid" system. Active Hybrid is actually a version of the Two-Mode hybrid system developed by BMW, General Motors and Chrysler, with two electric motors integrated into the automatic transmission. Also shared with GM: The concept of announcing its hybrid powertrain by writing all over the vehicle in billboard-size letters, presumably so that members of Greenpeace and/or the Sierra Club won't slash its tires.
