The 1-series convertible will go on sale in the US in 2008. Engine options will mirror the 1-series coupe, with a 230 hp 3.0 liter straight six for the 128i and a 300 hp twin-turbo straight six for the 135i. Both will feature a folding soft top that can be lowered while the car is moving (provided it's moving at 25 mph or less). The 1-series convertible goes on sale in the spring of 2008.
