The 2011 Volt is the upcoming plug-in hybrid from Chevrolet (though they prefer the term "Extended-Range Electric Vehicle, or E-REV). GM claims the Volt will be able to travel up to 40 miles on battery power; a small engine (specs yet to be announced) will recharge the battery to extend the Volt's range. The VChevrolet Volt is scheduled to go on sale towards the end of 2010 as a 2011 model.
