Meet the new 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray! The new Vette features a reworked 6.2 liter V8 tuned for approximately 450 horsepower, mated to a 7-speed manual transmission with a rev-matching feature that automatically blips the throttle during downshifts. The interior has been redesigned and radically improved, and my favorite feature -- the removable roof panel -- remains intact. A Z51 Performance Package will add a dty-sump oiling system and aero package that increases high-speed stability. The new Corvette will continue to be built in Bowling Green, Kentucky; the plant has undergone a $131 million upgrade, including a new facility to manufacture the Corvette's aluminum frame in-house.
