The Focus gets a major facelift for 2008. The hatchbacks are gone, leaving a sedan and a slick new two-door coupe. Front and rear fascias are completely different and the interior gets a nice-looking silver finish with a new easy-to-use center stack housing the stereo and climate controls. Ford's new Sync system, which provides cell phone and MP3 player integration, will be optional. Alas, the 2008 Focus does not get the platform of the European-market Focus, introduced in 2005, but it does get a retuned suspension for even sportier handling.
