Ah, the good ol' days: Saturday night cruising and cheap, plentiful gas. That's exactly what the 2005 Mustang was created for. And the visceral growl its muscular V-8 both delights and appalls. It delights because its throaty, mechanical rasp provides an audible flow of information about the engine's workings to the driver but appalls because it's a constant reminder how much fuel being consumed. While the Mustang looks pretty good with top up, it looks simply terrific with top down. MSRP: $30,750; Base Warranty: 3/36,000. Check prices at Edmunds.
