Besides all the features and performance specs above the Fusion/Milan/Zephyr start with a good platform, that global CD3 that’s also holding up the body of the Mazda6. Ford actually added structural rigidity to the platform not only for safety but also for crashworthiness. Of the three, I prefer the Zephyr. I like the clean, contemporary look to the interior with the light figured maple wood, I am in awe of the amazing THX II audio system with its 600 watts of ear-bleeding power, and at my advanced age appreciate the more damped luxury-oriented ride it provides without giving up outstanding ride and handling characteristics. The Lincoln trademark quiet interior also makes it an excellent choice for those who spend a lot of time in their vehicles, as it serves to remind us all that even though we must spend hours in traffic, we need not suffer while we burn down the minutes of our lives. The Fusion, Milan, and Zephyr are just hitting the showrooms, and should make a pretty big impact in the segment. Don’t be surprised to see Toyota Camry and Honda Accord buyers wandering into the dealerships to see what the cars are all about, and driving out in one of these new sedans. Each one is a good deal no matter how it’s dressed.
