Lexus is the luxury division of Toyota. Since the brand's debut in 1989, it has become one of the most desireable nameplates in the US and Canada. Quiet, luxurious cabins are a traditional Lexus hallmark, but newer models have a distinctly sporty emphasis. Lexus is also the first luxury brand to embrace hybrid technology.

This oddly-styled compact sedan combines the platform of the European-market Toyota Avenesis with the powertrain of the Toyota Camry Hybrid and the techno-gizmos of the Lexus RX, all wrapped up in an attractively-priced package that, frankly, makes little sense to this reviewer.
