ES: Redesigned in 2007, the ES350 enters 2008 with only minor changes: Revised side-view mirrors and back seat reading lamps.

GS: The GS gets a mild facelift, with a revised front fascia and bumper, chrome grille surround, side mirrors with integrated turn signals and a revised instrument panel. Mechanically, the GS350 and GS450h hybrid remain the same; the GS430 gets a bigger V8 engine (4.6 liters, 342 hp) and a new name: GS460.

IS: The IS250 and IS350 are virtually unchanged for 2008. The big news is the new high-performance IS-F, which features a new 416 hp 5-liter V8 engine backed with an eight-speed automatic transmission. Lexus claims a 0-60 time of 4.6 seconds -- that's seriously fast.

LS: The LS, which made its debut as a 2007 model, will add a hybrid to the lineup for 2008. Based on the long-wheelbase version of the L, the LS 600h L will feature a new 5-liter V8, dual-stage continuously variable transmission, and two electric motors, giving a peak output of 430 horsepower delivered to all four wheels. The long-wheelbase LS 460 L adds an air suspension package that includes variable-gear-ratio steering, adaptive suspension, and 5-spoke 19" wheels; if your chauffer likes to race, you can get him or her the Touring Pacakge with a sport-tuned version of the adaptive suspension.

SC: No changes.
