MAZDA3: All versions get slight styling and mechanical tweaks. A new hot-rod version, the 263 hp turbocharged Mazdaspeed3 (photo), joins the lineup. MAZDA5: A new top-of-the-line Grand Touring trim level joins the Sport and Touring models.

MAZDA6:Traction control and side- and side-curtain airbags are now standard on all models. The 6 remains the only mid-size car on the US market available in sedan, hatchback and wagon form. 2007 is the last year for the hot-rod Mazdaspeed 6 sedan.

MX-5 MIATA: A power-retractable hard top is now optional.

RX-8: Mazda added an optional 6-speed automatic transmission in late 2006; no significant changes for 2007.
