After years of speculation and rumor, the Smart is officially coming to the US. America gets the Fortwo Coupe (in Pure and Passion trim levels) as well as the Fortwo Cabriolet. Power comes from a 1.0 liter 3-cylinder gasoline engine and 5-speed self-shifting sequential transmission that powers the rear wheels from its cubbyhole under the trunk floor. For details and driving impressions check out our 2008 Smart Fortwo test drive and review.
