On February 15th, I'll tally up the nominees, and you'll get to vote on the five finalists in each category. Voting will close on March 21st, and I'll announce the winning cars on March 30th.
You may nominate up to three cars in each category. A couple of quick notes on the categories:
Best Performance Car is new this year. I'll leave this one open to interpretation -- whatever your idea of a performance car is, go ahead and nominate it.
The Under $16,000 category is open to cars with a sticker price (MSRP) starting at $16k or less. You'll find most (but not all) of the eligible cars on my Least Expensive Cars of 2012 list.
The Best New Car category is open to cars that have been redesigned, facelifted, or extensively updated for the 2012 model year. You'll find most of the eligible cars in my What's New for 2012 gallery.
Best family car and best car for teens are pretty self-explanatory.
