ALL MODELS: All 2007 Volvo cars have electronic stability and traction control as standard equipment.

C70: No major changes.

S40: Option choices are simplified.

S60: Grille and front bumper have been restyled (photo), shocks and springs are stiffened, and option packages have been shuffled and simplified.

S80: (photo) Volvo's top-of-the-line sedan is completely new for 2007 -- not that you’d know, because it looks a lot like the outgoing version. The new S80 offers two powertrains: A 235 horsepower inline 6-cylinder and front-wheel-drive or 311 hp V8 and all-wheel-drive. An active suspension optimizes ride and handling with three driver-selectable settings; safety equipment is, as you'd expect, top-notch.

V50: Front-wheel-drive T5 models are now automatic-only (T5 all-wheel-drive is still available with a 6-speed stick-shift). Option choices are expanded and packages are simplified.

V70: Option packages have been changed around.
