CONFIRMED FOR 2010:

XF: XF Premium and Portfolio models get a new 5.0 liter V8 with direct fuel injection that produces 385 horsepower, while a new XF Supercharged model gets a 470 hp supercharged version of that same V8, along with computer-controlled variable-damping shocks and rear differential, upgraded brakes, and 20" wheels. The base-model XF continues with last year's 300 horsepower 4.2 liter V8.

XFR: The new high-performance version of the XF is powered by a 510 hp supercharged 5-liter V8, with fuel economy only about 3 mpg behind the normally-aspirated 5.0. Jaguar claims a 0-60 time of 4.7 seconds. The XFR gets computer-controlled variable-damping shock absorbers ("Adaptive Dynamics" in Jaguar parlance) and an electronically-controlled rear differential ("Active Differential Control"). The XFR will be distinguished by unique body trim and 20" alloy wheels.

XJ: (photo) Jaguar has made radical changes to the shape of the 2010 XJ, but putting the shape aside, a lot of the car is familiar. The body is once again aluminum (saving 300 lbs over a steel body), although 50% of the aluminum is now recycled. Jaguar will offer standard (XJ) and long-wheelbase (XJL) models, the latter featuring an extra 5 inches of rear seat legroom. Base XJ/XJL models (priced at $72,500 and $79,500 respectively) get a 385 hp 5.0 liter V8. The XJ/XJL Supercharged models ($87,500 and $90,500) feature a 470 hp supercharged version of the 5.0 liter engine, while the XJ/XJL Supersports ($112,000 and $115,000) feature a 510 horsepower version of the 5.0 V8.

XK: Like the XF, the XK gets the new 5-liter direct-injected V8, which Jaguar claims will offer better fuel economy and lower emissions along with more power. The XK gets new front-end styling, LED tail lights, and the rotary-style transmission shifter that debuted on the 2009 XF, as well as computer-controlled variable damping shock absorbers and an electronic active rear differential. All XKs adapt the interior trim from last year's limited-edition XKR Portfolio, with significantly upgraded interior trim and a 525-watt stereo with a Bowers and Wilkins speaker system. But with the higher-quality cabin comes a higher price: Almost $5,000 over the 2009 XK.

XKR: A new supercharged 5.0 liter V8 replaces last year's supercharged 4.2; output is 510 hp and 461 lb-ft, up from 420 hp and 413 lb-ft in last year's car. According to Jaguar, the new XKR gets to 60 MPH in 4.6 seconds. Like the XK, the XKR gets updated styling, LED tail lights, computer-controlled shocks and rear differential, rotary-style transmission shifter, and Portfolio interior trim.
