CONFIRMED FOR 2010:

EVORA: (photo) The Evora represents Lotus' attempt to build a sports car with more mainstream appeal. In contrast to the minimalist Exige and Elise, the Evora promises a cabin that will accommodate a 6'5" driver and more creature comforts. Power comes from a six-cylinder Toyota-sourced engine.

BEYOND 2010:

EVORA: Over the next two to three years, Lotus will add a supercharged engine, an automatic transmission and a convertible to the Evora lineup.

RUMORED:

ESPIRIT: A new version of the Espirit, Lotus' iconic sports car of the 1970s and '80s (remember Pretty Woman?), is known to be in the works. The on-sale date keeps getting pushed back, but the current whispers say the car will launch in 2012. Rumored powerplants (all Toyota-sourced) include a 300 hp V6, 417 hp V8 (from the Lexus IS F), and a 500+ hp V10. There is also talk of using Toyota's hybrid drive system, although that seems awfully heavy for a Lotus.
