CONFIRMED FOR 2010:
911: After a one-year hiatus, the GT3 (photo) returns with an improved suspension, standard Porsche Stability Management, and a new, larger engine (3.8 liters, up from 3.6). The engine puts out 435 hp, 20 more than the 2008 GT3, and the engine's variable valve timing system is designed for more even torque distribution in the middle of the rev range. Pricing will start at $112,000.
CAYENNE: A hybrid variant of the Cayenne is scheduled to appear for the 2010 model year. Like the Cayenne itself, the hybrid drivetrain was developed in conjunction with Volkswagen/Audi, although the Cayenne will reportedly have unique tuning for the driveline control computer. The Cayenne Hybrid uses Audi's new 3-liter 333 horsepower supercharged V6 mated to a 52 hp/221 lb-ft electric motor and an 8-speed automatic transmission.
PANAMERA: (photo) The Panamera is Porsche's first four-door sedan. Here in the States, the Panamera will be offered with direct-fuel-injected 4.8 liter V8s in normally aspirated (400 hp) and twin-turbocharged (500 hp) form, both coupled to a 7-speed twin-clutch transmission. Pricing will start at $89,900 for the rear-drive Panamera S, $93,800 for the all-wheel-drive Panamera 4S, and $132,600 for the all-wheel-drive Panamera Turbo.
