Test drive: 2006 Honda Civic Hybrid
The new 2006 Honda Civic -- not the hybrid, the regular one -- has already made our list of the top ten fuel-efficient cars for its EPA ratings of 30 MPG city/40 MPG highway -- and that's with an automatic! There is, of course, a hybrid version of the new Civic, and Philip Powell is the first of the About.com Cars test drivers to spend some quality time with one. How fuel-efficient was it? Well, Phil didn't bother to relax his lead foot for the Civic Hybrid, and he still averaged a diesel-like 50 MPG. Not bad, eh? I might have to revise that top ten list... -- Aaron Gold
