Still shopping for that last-minute present? I say when in doubt, buy a convertible. If Mom's the laid back, watch-the-scenery-go-by type, I'm sure a Volkswagen would put a smile on her face. But if she's the type who gets a repeat-offender discount on her speeding tickets, Pontiac offers this little number that would fit the bill quite nicely.
As for my mom, if I had the cash, I'd get her something more luxurious; I can think of a certain station wagon that I bet she'd really like. When it comes to cars, my stepmother is a little harder to shop for, but I think she'd look cool wheeling around town in one of these. -- Aaron Gold
