This is the new version of Ford's compact Focus. Like the original (1999) Focus, the new Focus will be a global car -- the version sold in North America will be nearly identical to the Focus sold in Europe and Asia. The Focus sold here will be powered by a new 2-liter gasoline engine with direct fuel injection. As with the new Fiesta, the Focus will offer a six-speed twin-clutch automatic transmission. A hot-rod version, called the Focus ST, will have a 250 hp turbocharged engine.
